An online poverty alleviation program intending to benefit farmers was launched by the Consumers Daily and Shanghai Hong’ao Financial Information Service in Beijing on May 12.

According to the sponsors at the launching ceremony, the program will increase farmers' income, promote agricultural development and keep a sound life in villages through financial supports, modern agriculture development and Internet promotion.
