The Global Poverty Reduction Online Knowledge Sharing Database was dubbed “Innovative Online Charity Project of the Year” by the China Internet Development Foundation January 5, 2018.
The Global Poverty Reduction Online Knowledge Sharing Database has won the award for “Innovative Project of the Year” by the China Internet Development Foundation (CIDF).
CIDF’s Annual Online Philanthropy Awards were given to some 40 online charity projects this year. These promote public welfare in areas such as poverty reduction, education, entrepreneurship and environmental protection. The award is sponsored by the China Internet Development Foundation and co-sponsored by Guangming Online and China Soong Ching Ling Foundation.

The Global Poverty Reduction Online Knowledge Sharing Database features both Chinese and international case studies.
As a poverty reduction knowledge-sharing program , the Global Poverty Reduction Online Knowledge Sharing Database was launched May 26, 2017 by the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC) and china.org.cn.
The Global Poverty Reduction Online Knowledge Sharing Database (http://case.iprcc.org.cn/) is a platform to share information about successful poverty reduction models and initiatives from both China and the international community. Designed for users around the world, the database presents poverty reduction cases along with relevant research, studies as well as policies and laws.
Diagrams also help illustrate how China and other groups have addressed problems, focusing in particular on cases whose technical elements could be replicated elsewhere.
Since its launch, the database has received contributions from organizations including the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and Oxfam.
IPRCC and china.org.cn are currently improving the database and plans to launch an upgraded version within the year.
